Our Building Commissioning Engineering Service
It’s surprising to think a building was opened before it was verified that all systems actually worked. But is has been the norm before Building Commissioning (Cx) recently became the standard. Overwhelmingly, buildings were opened when set points were incorrect, dampers were not functioning properly, sensors were not accurate, etc. These behind the scenes items create a building that, from day one, will not operate as it was designed, will use more energy, and will be difficult for operators to run.

Older buildings are rarely operating as efficiently as when they were new. The Retro-Commissioning process adjusts and verifies the older building is operating as it was originally designed.
